We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give. Winston Churchill

There are those others whose lives we affect by our actions and, never knowing who we are or what we do, they will affect our works in return. We have been fortunate to provide assistance to impoverished children through the sale of our Babeez Cakes™, Binkeez™ and Burpeez™, a portion of which goes toward Binkeez for Comfort™.

In 2010, Lynne and Susan's hearts were changed ..by the strength of little boy named Devin. Devin is the son of Susan's longtime friend and Shrewsbury neighbor Tegan DeWallace Gonzalez. Devin was born very prematurely June 15, weighing just one pound, 13 ounces.

He spent the first three months of his life riding the rollercoaster of survival in the NICU of St. Francis Hospital. He battled infections, heart and intestinal problems, a month in isolation, and surgery before this little fighter came home in mid- September. During this time, Devin's mom asked Susan to make a special blanket for her baby to use in the NICU. When Susan heard that this very blanket not only provided Tegan and her husband comfort, it also made for a more nurturing environment in the NICU for Devin.

It is with much happiness to share these beautiful pictures of a VERY strong and healthy Devin.

We have also shared our Binkeez™ to comfort the sick kitties and puppies at Tufts Veterinary Hospital.

After Susan's cat, Brandi, was ill and spent one too many days there, Susan saw there were animals that did not have their own comfy binks in their cages. She enlisted Lynne's help and donated two blankets for each critical care cage so the animals would have something comfy to rest on while they recuperated. She also wanted to say thank you to the dedicated group of professionals that enabled Brandi to come back home.

Several times a year, a new batch of Binkeez™ are dropped off at Tufts to comfort sick animals.
