The story behind Wingseez™ Binkeez Memorial Blankets
It was about a year ago that a friend of Susan, who lost an infant shortly after birth, asked if we
had considered doing a memorial blankets for the parents like her self. She told Susan that her
baby had been an angel now for 17 years but is always part of her thoughts and heart . . . everyday.
She explained to Susan that the Binkeez already provide comfort so why not for a mom that had
lost a child. She said they are so soft and would be something for a mom or even dad to hold and
touch in those quiet moments when they are missing their little love the most.
Almost a year later Susan wanted to do something for someone close to her that lost her newborn
son but didn’t know how she could ever begin to bring her friend comfort. There are no words one
can say to ever truly bring a mom comfort at such a profound life moment. She sat and thought
about creating a special Binkeez of Comfort for her friend after remembering what was shared
with her almost a year before by her friend and a mom. As she sat in her studio she focused on
the large angel wings hanging from the ceiling (from her JetPull for the Tara Bean Foundation.)
That is when Wingseez™ – Binkeez Memorial Blankets came to her. Gone but never forgotten
and forever a special angel.
As we have been approached to make these memorial blankets we have been heartbroken
and humbled (with many tears shed) but touched that in some small way,
they have brought some comfort to the parents.
While we have decided to add these to our product offerings, the proceeds from sales will
be going to our Binkeez for Comfort™ program. Specifically to create special Itsy Bitsy Binkeez™
for local photographers who donate their time, talent and hearts to the Now I Lay Me Down
to Sleep organization.
May you rest peacefully Baby Chloie and be your mommy & daddy’s forever angel. |
